  • ✔ Color and Coat Genetics Testing by Animal Genetics (Tallahassee, FL)
  • ✔ Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Testing — Columbia, MO:

    • Patellas

  • ✔ BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) Grading

  • ✔ Proper Nutrition Plan in Place, Tailored to Breeding and Pregnancy Needs

Breeding Health Checklist

  • ✔ Begin progesterone testing the day after 1st signs of heat; test every 1–2 days until levels reach 5+ ng/mL (fertile window). By TRC Veterinary Services
  • ✔ Schedule Trans-Cervical Insemination (TCI) with local stud and sperm by TRC Veterinary Services.
  • ✔ Record all insemination details including date, method, and sperm quality by TRC Veterinary Services.
  • ✔ Nutritional Supplements (Detailed Plan Available upon Request)
  • ✔ Confirm pregnancy via ultrasound by TRC Veterinary Services.
  • ✔ Schedule C-Section with TRC Veterinary Services.
  • ✔ Gradually increase calorie intake starting week 5.
  • ✔ Monitor dam’s temperature, appetite, and behavior weekly.
  • ✔ Perform sonogram 30 days after ovulation to confirm pregnancy, count puppies and assure heartbeats and health
  • ✔ Prepare whelping kennel/incubator with temperature, humidity, oxygen, sound and lighting controls
  • ✔ Monitor temperature daily starting day 58; drop below 99°F = Labor.
